A Riot of Color’s inspiration came from a flock of Yellow Gold Finch birds that I saw flitting in and out among a stand of wild Black-eyed Susans I passed on a daily hike down from my studio. The brightly colored birds with the smiling bright Black-eyed Susans immediately drew my eyes as I watched them in wonder dance and play in the sunlight.
